Antigua and Barbuda has signed three new visa waiver agreements with Ghana, Kenya, and Benin during the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
The agreements were formalized on the sidelines of the high-level meetings, reflecting Antigua and Barbuda’s commitment to expanding mobility and forging stronger partnerships with African nations.
The visa waivers will make travel easier for citizens and create new opportunities for trade, tourism, and cultural exchange between Africa and the Caribbean.
Antigua and Barbuda also extended invitations to Ghana, Kenya, and Benin to attend the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), which it will host. The summit will focus on the priorities of small states and the Global South.
Officials expect the agreements to deliver long-term benefits by advancing economic ties, diplomatic cooperation, and shared development goals.
