Oman is expanding its global air network with new routes to Asia, Europe, and Africa as part of a nationwide plan to strengthen tourism, logistics, and passenger movement by 2030.
The new routes support Oman’s aviation strategy to increase the sector’s GDP contribution from $413 million in 2018 to approximately $2.3 billion by 2030.
Passenger traffic is projected to reach 40 million annually.
Oman is strengthening collaboration with private operators to enhance airport operations and expand services in ground handling, maintenance, and air cargo.
The Civil Aviation Authority is also advancing green initiatives, including solar-powered facilities and electric vehicles, to improve efficiency and reduce emissions.
Through these steps, Oman is reinforcing its position as a regional aviation hub connecting Asia, Europe, and Africa.
