Saudi Arabia is considering adding a $30 million net-worth category and a superyacht owner pathway to its Premium Residency program, according to Bloomberg sources familiar with the discussions.
The proposed tier would reportedly require recommendations from the Ministry of Investment. Officials are also reviewing eligibility for high-achieving students and additional entrepreneur categories.
The superyacht component aligns with developments in the UAE, where Abu Dhabi’s Golden Quay pathway grants 10-year residency to owners of yachts over 40 metres, subject to nomination.
It remains unclear whether Saudi Arabia will adopt similar vessel-size criteria or nomination rules.

Authorities issued 8,074 permits in 2024, with 40,000+ applications submitted between January 2024 and July 2025.
