Türkiye and Oman Announce Mutual Visa Exemption

Türkiye and Oman have officially agreed to a mutual visa exemption for their citizens, a move that both governments say will strengthen cooperation across trade, investment, and tourism sectors.

The agreement follows high-level talks between His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at Al Alam Palace in Muscat, where both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations.

President Erdoğan described the agreement as “a significant milestone in the relationship between the two nations,” emphasizing that visa-free travel will facilitate stronger commercial and cultural exchange.

Under the new policy, Omani citizens can now enter Türkiye without a visa, while Turkish nationals will enjoy the same privilege in Oman.

The initiative aims to simplify travel, encourage business partnerships, and promote tourism between the two countries.

Officials from both sides noted that the visa exemption reflects a broader effort to deepen strategic cooperation and expand mobility between the Gulf and Türkiye.
