UAE Expands Golden Visa Program to Offer Emergency Support Overseas

The UAE has announced a major expansion of its Golden Visa program, extending consular protection and emergency services, previously reserved for Emirati citizens, to foreign residents holding the 10-year residency visa.

Golden Visa holders will now be entitled to:

• A dedicated hotline through the Ministry’s call center for urgent assistance
• Inclusion in evacuation and crisis response operations overseas
• Repatriation and burial coordination in the UAE

These measures mirror consular privileges typically reserved for Emirati nationals and represent a milestone in the ongoing development of the Golden Visa program.
